A traffic ticket

Here’s a quick story I wanted to share with you.

Our daughter got married in Seattle this past summer. On the way home, while traveling down I5 I was stopped by a motorcycle policeman for speeding. Allegedly I was doing 71 in a 60 zone. The officer was polite and professional and even though I had “out of state” tags, was unfamiliar with the road, he gave me a ticket anyway. Now, I’m not whining. If I was speeding, so be it. However, in Arizona, I have the opportunity to do “traffic school” and the ticket is expunged.

When I got home, I contacted our Pre-Paid Legal Service and asked how I should take care of the ticket. I was advised to send the documents and as part of my subscription, they would represent me in traffic court. The date was set by Tacoma County and an Attorney appeared on my behalf. I wasn’t even there!

I later got a phone call that my ticket had been dismissed, no points, no fine. Can you imagine how I felt? I am a Railroad Engineer and every three years my Federa and State driving license is subject to scrutiny. This was the first ticket I’ve ever had and now it was gone! Without Pre-Paid Legal Services I would have suffered triple jeapordy.

Renegade Live Event

Hey everyone, I just got back from an awesome weekend at the Renegade Live Event. What wonderful group of Entrepreneurs! I learned so much! I’ve already begun to see results from what we were taught. This will drive my business (and possibly yours) to the next level. It’s amazing how one can run into a mental roadblock and then someone says something that becomes an “A-Ha” moment. I’ll be sharing more of my thoughts and ideas a little later. Until then…keep shooting for the sun. If you hit the moon that’s a good thing! Isn’t it?

MLM…Why doesn’t it work? (For you)

I’m thinking there are a lot of folks out there like me that have been involved in one or more network, mlm or friend to friend marketing projects. Like me, trying to escape the day to day rat race. Trying to do more for our families and ourselves. To have time freedom. Financial freedom. And yes to be able to provide more for our churches or charities.

The problem is, we are in a new society. A new reality. A new Generation. The old ways of approaching our friends and family, the “three foot” rule just don’t work for most people.

If I could show you another way, would you want to know? Would you be willing to invest just a little more time and money to step up to bat? Are you willing to keep swinging? Do you want to put more FUN back in your life?
